Police Investigate Four Aug. 30 Burglaries

Maplewood Police are looking into a string of burglaries which all occurred on Friday, Aug. 30.

The Maplewood Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries which all occurred on Friday, Aug. 30, according to a police report.

A resident of Princeton Street returned home to find that someone had forced themselves into their home sometime within the past few days. A list of stolen items is not yet available.

Another home on Van Ness Terrace was also burglarizes sometime during the few days prior to Aug. 30. Musical instruments and electronics were reported stolen, police said.

During the night of Aug. 30, equipment used for towing was taken from a parked tow truck on Newark Way, according to police.

A 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from a driveway on Franklin Terrace between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 29 and 5 a.m. on Aug. 30, police said.

Two bicycles were also stolen from the yard of an Orchard Road residents on Monday, Sept. 2, according to the report.
