1 Injured In Crash On Route 18 In Marlboro

The accident occurred Monday afternoon and temporarily closed the right lane of Route 18 South.

MARLBORO, NJ — One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon that damaged a guardrail, Marlboro Police Captain Stephen Levy said.

According to police, the accident happened on Route 18 South in the area of Route 79.

A North Brunswick man driving a Toyota RAV4 suffered moderate injuries from the crash, Levy said.

The man was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center by ambulance.

One lane of Route 18 South was closed following the accident so the Department of Transportation could repair the guardrail, according to police.

The lane has since been reopened and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
