7 Vie For 3 Open Seats On Colts Neck School Board: Election 2024

COLTS NECK, NJ — The 2024 general election will likely be a high-turnout year with a presidential race on the ballot. But there will also be local decisions to be made on Nov. 5 in the Colts Neck Board of Education race.

July 29 was the deadline for all candidates to submit their petitions to run for school board this November.

Below is a list of candidates, and a campaign slogan if they submitted one. All information comes from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office, and these positions are three-year terms unless stated otherwise.

Colts Neck Township Board of Education (Full Term — Vote for 3)

• Mark E. Chersevani (Integrity)
• Brenna Dillon (Achievement Through Unity)
• Amy Dimes (Achievement Through Unity)

Colts Neck Township Board of Education (One Year Unexpired Term — Vote for 1)

• Phyllis Camera (Colts Kids First)
• Tracy Kramer (Achievement Through Unity)

Positions on school boards in towns in New Jersey are unpaid; board members help determine how educational resources and taxes are allocated and spent, and work with educators and administrators to plan the future of the district.

Early voting will take place from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
