Small class sizes and departmentalized academic programs look to equip students for entry into colleges, vocational schools, or full-time employment.

At Collier School, officials said they champion "practical learning, offering work-based learning, cooperative experiences and work-study programs."

"We hope that school staff, as well as parents, join us for our open house, as it is a great opportunity to learn more about Collier School," said Cindy D'Arcy, Director of Collier School.

"We fill the gap for public schools by providing specialized services for students, tailored to their specific needs,” D’Arcy continued. “We work with school districts and families to support our students with a variety of different diagnoses.”

Alongside following Department of Education guidelines, D’Arcy said Collier School also offers individual and group counseling, occupational therapy support, psychiatric services, nutrition services, and Shepherding (a program that helps students overcome school avoidance at their own pace).

Those interested in attending the Open House are asked to RSVP to Tracy Theoret at ttheoret@collieryouthservices.org or call (732) 946-4771, ext. 249.
