My lifelong roots in Monmouth County have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the importance of strong public schools. My career as a seasoned sales executive has equipped me with strong strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

I am passionate about serving on this board and believe my experience in delivering results can be valuable in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing our schools.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?
Our commitment to the Colts Kids First vision and the strength of our team sets us apart.

I'm running with a remarkable slate—Rob Scales, Brian Scarpa, and Phyllis Camera (Camera is running for a one-year unexpired term on the board against opponent Tracy Kramer). Our shared vision, "Progressing with Purpose, Educating with Passion, Pioneering Our Future," guides every decision we make.

Here's what sets our Colts Kids First slate apart:

  • Progressing with Purpose: We're driven by clear goals to enhance our educational system. Every decision focuses on the well-being and growth of all students. We're committed to continuous improvement, ensuring our schools are at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
  • Educating with Passion: Our team is deeply committed to education, not just as a policy matter but as a personal passion. We believe in inspiring each child to reach their fullest potential. Our combined experience as educators and advocates ensures we'll bring this passion to every classroom.
  • Pioneering Our Future: We're committed to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our team is dedicated to creating an inclusive, forward-thinking educational environment that prepares our children for the challenges of tomorrow.

Our team's goals include:

  • Approving sound and fiscally conservative budgets
  • Focusing on fundamental academics
  • Protecting Title IX integrity and maintaining core principles
  • Supporting parental rights for common sense, pro-family policies
  • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Promoting transparency, communication, and accountability
  • Researching grants and alternative funding methods

As a united team, we bring diverse experiences and a shared dedication to building a dynamic, supportive learning environment. Our ability to work collaboratively while keeping a laser focus on what matters most—the success of every child in our district—is what sets myself and my team apart.

What do you see as the biggest issue facing Colts Neck, and how will you resolve it?
The lack of trust between the school system and parents is a significant obstacle to our community's educational success.

I am dedicated to rebuilding trust between parents and the public school system by prioritizing transparency, open communication, and empowering parents to play a meaningful role in their children’s education. I support policies that enable parents to make informed decisions about their children’s education.

By fostering a culture of trust and collaboration, we can create a public school system that is responsive to the needs of our community and upholds the highest standards of academic excellence. I am committed to ensuring that our schools remain free from political agendas.

What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position?
My professional experience is complemented by a deep commitment to our community.

Through my volunteer work, including mentoring underprivileged teens and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels, I have had the privilege of connecting with individuals from all walks of life. This personal experience has instilled in me a strong understanding of the diverse needs within our community, which will guide my approach to board service as I advocate for all students.

Name one thing about Colts Neck that always makes you smile.
I've always been drawn to Colts Neck's rich history, friendly small-town vibe, and strong sense of community.

When my husband and I were deciding to start a family, I knew this was the ideal place to settle down. I cherish this town and its exceptional school system. Given my experience, I'm confident in my ability to contribute to the ongoing success of our schools.
