COLTS NECK, NJ — A local township committeeman is set to celebrate the release of his debut novel this summer in Monmouth County.

In this debut, he introduces protagonist Tom Berte, a seventh-year associate at the prestigious law firm Balatoni, Cartel & Colin, who’s on track to make partner.
When Berte is tapped for an enviable position, however, it could catapult his career to the fast track as he’s thrust into extraordinary circumstances that could alter the course of his life.

Though a testament to his meteoric rise, the offer Berte receives proves too good to be true and threatens to derail not only his career, but everything he holds dear.
“If you're a fan of smart thrillers with morally complex characters and an edgy plot, ‘The Manipulator’ delivers in every way,” said Jaime Lynn Hendricks, bestselling author of “Their Double Lives.” “Dan Buzzetta is a bold new voice in the genre, and this debut proves he’s one to watch.”
“The action is fast-paced, with a likable hero,” Phillip Margolin, the New York Times bestselling author of "An Insignificant Case," said.
Chad Zunker, the bestselling author of “Family Money” and “The Wife You Know,” described the novel as “well written and intricately plotted,” while Joseph Badal, the bestselling author of “Everything to Lose,” added that it’s fast-moving with intriguing settings and “replete with a lively cast of characters.”
“The Manipulator” is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and through Barnes & Noble and will be available in trade paper ($18.99), eBook ($4.99), digital audiobook ($15.04), and physical audiobook ($45.14) editions.
In addition to Buzzetta’s work as an author and committeeman on the Colts Neck Township Committee, he is also an attorney and partner in the NYC office of a national law firm and a volunteer firefighter.
The book launch party for "The Manipulator" will take place at the Barnes & Noble at 2130 Route 35, Holmdel.
