COLTS NECK, NJ — The polls have closed, and unofficial results have come in for the 2025 Primary Election.

In Colts Neck Township, the Republican primary race for Township Committee has been one race catching people’s attention, with two candidates vying for one of the party’s open nomination spots.

Incumbent Sue Fitzpatrick is running for re-election on the committee against challenger John Tobia.

Throughout the race, land development has been a key issue for residents, with many pushing back against projects such as Liviana Colts Neck, a 360-unit apartment complex under construction across from the high school, and affordable housing requirements.
