Council Looks to Birdsall Engineering to Seal Plans of Water Treatment Plant
The council is looking to finalize its plans of the proposed water treatment plant on Tennent Road.

The Marlboro Town Council is looking to finalize the plans of a proposed water treatment plant on Tennent Road, a plan that has been in the works since 2010.
The plans were designed by former engineering company CMX which was bought by Birdsall Engineering.
Mayor Jon Hornik said Birdsall offered to sign and seal the plans at a fraction of the cost as other engineering firms the township looked at to finish the job.

On Wednesday, May 3, state investigators executed a search warrant at the offices of Birdsall Services Group. The exact reason for the investigation is unknown.
Hornik said the township has an agreement with the company that the site plans will remain the same, and the firm will only sign and seal the plans so the township can move forward with the project.
The treatment plant, according to council, will help Marlboro reach the standards of future water restrictions set by the state and provide 1.5 million gallons of addition water to the customers of the Marlboro Township Municipal Utilities Authority.
