DWI Checkpoints In Marlboro And Spring Lake This Weekend
The checkpoints will begin Friday night and end on Sunday morning, DWI Task Force Coordinator Michael Schneider said.
MARLBORO, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting two DWI checkpoints throughout Labor Day weekend.
The first checkpoint will take place on Friday night in Marlboro.
The checkpoint will begin at 9 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, officials said. All northbound vehicles on Route 9 will be diverted to the Crunch Fitness parking lot, where all drivers will be screened for sobriety.

The second checkpoint will take place Saturday night in Spring Lake.
The checkpoint will begin at 10 p.m. and run until 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, officials said. All southbound vehicles on Route 71 will be diverted to the Marucci Park parking lot at 3rd Ave. where all drivers will be screened for sobriety.

"The Task Force hopes all motorists will be responsible," DWI Task Force Coordinator Michael Schneider said. "Especially this holiday weekend, when typically DWI arrests are more common due to the celebratory nature of the weekend."
