Extreme Cold: Marlboro Township Warns Residents

MARLBORO, NJ — Marlboro Township issued a statement warning residents about the extreme cold expected Monday night through Tuesday night.
Temperatures are expected to hit lows of single digits Arctic airmass originating from central Canada moves into the region Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather poses a danger for those without heat, according to the agency.

Marlboro Township advised residents to take the following precautions:
- Limit prolonged time outdoors and dress in layers if you must be outside.
- Learn how to prevent pipes from freezing from the Red Cross.
- Bring your pets inside.
- Prevent fires by using space heaters safely. Review the National Fire Protection Association guidelines here.
