Man Dies After Being Found Unconscious In NJ Swimming Pool
The man was found in a home pool around noon on Saturday, Colts Neck Police Lt. Brian Caswell told Patch.
COLTS NECK, NJ — A 77-year-old man has died after authorities found him unconscious in a home swimming pool on Saturday, Colts Neck Police Lt. Brian Caswell told Patch.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Colts Neck Police and emergency medical services responded to a report of a residential swimming pool drowning.
Once authorities arrived at the scene, the first responding officer found a man unconscious in a swimming pool and immediately jumped in to get the man out of the water.

Emergency personnel then began life-saving measures on the man before he was brought to Bayshore Medical Center for further medical treatment.
Despite these efforts, Caswell said the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Further information on the man's identity was not released.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Detective Bureau of the Colts Neck Township Police Department.
No further details were available as of Monday afternoon to respect the privacy of those involved, Caswell said.
