Marlboro Police Detective Sergeant Retires After 30+ Years Of Service
A lifelong Marlboro resident, Det. Sgt. David Glenny was hired by the department in 1995 and has been serving his community ever since.

MARLBORO, NJ — A Marlboro Township Police Detective Sergeant is retiring after 30+ years of service in the Marlboro community, the police department announced Thursday.
Det. Sgt. David Glenny is a lifelong resident of Marlboro Township and was hired by the police department in 1995.
After graduating from the 50th class of the Monmouth County Police Academy, Glenny was assigned to the department's Patrol Bureau, and in 2003, he was transferred to the Investigations Bureau, where he worked as a detective until 2015.

In October 2015, Glenny was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Operations Bureau, where he worked as a patrol supervisor.
In 2018, he was then assigned as the department’s Detective Sergeant, overseeing the Case Detectives, Firearms Identification Bureau, School Resource Officers and Community Policing Unit – a position he held until his retirement.

During his tenure with the Marlboro Police Department, he also held the executive position of treasurer in both their PBA and FOP Unions.
“We would like to thank Dave for his service to the township and the Marlboro community and wish him the very best in his retirement!” the department said in an online post announcing his retirement:
