Marlboro Police To Host National Night Out Event Tuesday
Marlboro's annual event to strengthen police-community partnerships will take place at Cambridge Square, Route 9.
MARLBORO, NJ — The community is invited to join the Police Department's National Night Out event Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cambridge Square, 280 Route 9 North, Englishtown.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live, the department says.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while "bringing back a true sense of community," the department says.

National Night Out is held in most states on the first Tuesday of August. It began decades ago with residents turning on porch lights, but it now is a community event, the organization establishing the program says on its website.
