What drove you to seek public office?
Public office never held any allure for me — until I saw the rabbit hole that NJ was going down with our politicians in Trenton, and I was asked to take a stand.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I am different from other politicians because I seek nothing for myself. I strive only to improve the lives of the citizens of Marlboro. I do not consider myself to be a “politician.”

What do you see as the biggest issue Marlboro is facing, and how will you resolve it?
Marlboro’s challenges include a growing population that needs and deserves a safe, peaceful environment to live, work & grow their families.

Vigilance to details, such as a responsive police force, growing open spaces, parks and sports facilities, and timely road maintenance, all contribute to the excellent quality of life that I seek to maintain in Marlboro.

What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position
As a parent and now a grandparent, I have the wisdom and maturity to listen. My past experiences have given me the ability to laser focus on goals and deadlines necessary to achieve them.

If elected, what do you most hope to achieve in Marlboro?
I would like to continue to provide excellent experiences for our community. Our team — DiNuzzo, Milman, and Qazi — provides checks and balances in our government, which is comprised of a Democrat mayor, two Democrat council members, and us, three Republican council members.

We take great pride in vetting all issues, especially those of our residents, with the administration and coming to a consensus on these matters prior to our council meetings. Rest assured, these interactions are not always easy.

We also bring common sense and maturity to government! We are working in the best interests of all Marlboro residents while always keeping our eye on the bottom line. Fiscal responsibility is key to keeping our budgets in check while maintaining our triple-AAA bond rating.

We take great pride in our current rating agency’s report, which stated: Governance — the township’s management is very strong and has a deep knowledge base. The management team, Mayor, and Township Council work together very well, leading to good decision-making. The Township aims to be conservative in budgeting...This is high praise indeed!!!

Name one thing about Marlboro that always makes you smile.
Many things about Marlboro make me smile — our residents, our farmers market, our public works department, our police department, our fire and EMS departments, our recreation department, and our amazing employees — just to name a few!
