Morganville Man Indicted After Local Jewelry Theft
Dominick Lanzaro, 19 of Morganville allegedly stole two rings and more than $500 from a Morganville home.

A jury indicted Dominick Lanzaro, 19 of Morganville this week after he allegedly stole jewelry and cash from a home on Spring Valley Road in Morganville.
Lanzaro was arrested by Marlboro Police in August, after police investigation uncovered Lanzaro allegedly sold the missing jewelry to World Wide Gold Buyer and Silver on Rt. 9 in Marlboro. Lanzaro was allegedly in possession of a $5,000 engagement ring and a $3,000 man's ring that was reported missing from the Morganville home.
Lanzaro is also accused of stealing $500 in Euro notes from the home.

A new ordinance in Marlboro extends the time period which jewelers have to hang on to gold and other goods after buying from customers, allowing Marlboro Police to track down those selling stolen jewelry.

The ordinance was created in response to a string of home burglaries this year in the township.
Lanzaro was indicted on charges of burglary, theft of movable property and fencing by trafficking stolen property.
