Motor Vehicle Crash, Downed Wires Close Rt. 79 In Marlboro

MARLBORO, NJ — A motor vehicle crash and downed wires have closed Route 79 in Marlboro, township officials said Friday.
The road is currently closed between Lloyd Road and Nolan Road, according to police.
The crash was reported to Marlboro Police shortly after 1 p.m. by a business owner who saw a truck driving on Route 79 and take down the overhead wires, Marlboro Police Captain Stephen Levy told Patch.

As of Friday afternoon, Levy said the truck that caused the damage has not been identified and no injuries have been reported.
The utility company is on location, but it is currently unknown when the road will re-open, Levy said.
