Ernest T. Orgo, 89, of Colts Neck, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30. Born in Newark, he lived in Spring Lake and in Colts Neck most of his life. He was a communicant of St. Leo's Church and attended St. Leo's Preparatory School.
He then attended Cornell University until enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corp as Gunnery as he was an excellent marksman. He operated a wholesale retail florist in Newark until he retired. He was a member of Iron Bound Executives and the Wayside Gun Club.
He was predeceased by his parents, Helene and Tom, and his wife, Audrey. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Tom and Diane of Colts Neck, Marlena Orgo of Newark, Audrey and Philip Ahn of Colts Neck and Cristina and Robert Wyatt of Colts Neck; a sister, Dolores Rice of Groveland, FL; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer (Dave) Stattle, Cristina Ahn, Jeremy Ahn, Lauren (Joe) Sgroi, Leah (Jay) Vitale, Thomas Orgo III and Brian Wyatt.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m., at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck. Interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
