Power Outages Reported In Marlboro, Fair Haven, Holmdel: JCP&L

JCP&L said weather-related power outages were being resolved, but were scattered throughout certain areas of Monmouth County.

MARLBORO, NJ — Power was affected by windy weather conditions in some areas of Monmouth County Wednesday afternoon, including affecting 1,600 customers in Marlboro.

JCP&L spokesperson Chris Hoenig said that as of 6 p.m., 1,600 customers in Marlboro and 500 customers in Fair Haven were without power.

Earlier weather-related outages in Red Bank and Rumson and much of Fair Haven were restored he said.

Police in Holmdel reported outages in the area of Georjean Drive around 4 p.m. due to a large tree falling on wires. JCP&L, which serves the area, was made aware of the problem and was responding, police said.

The National Weather Service had forecast high winds, especially along the New Jersey coast, part of the same system that brought severe weather to the Southeastern United States.
