Smoke At Marlboro High School Prompts Police, Fire Department Response
Authorities responded to the school early Saturday after contractors saw smoke coming from an exhaust vent pipe on the roof, police said.

MARLBORO, NJ — Local police and fire departments responded to Marlboro High School on Saturday after smoke was seen coming from the roof, Marlboro Police Captain Stephen Levy told Patch.
At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Levy said the police department received a call for a smoke condition at the high school.
Once officers arrived, Levy said they were met by contractors who were working on the school’s generators and had noticed smoke coming from an exhaust vent pipe on the roof.

All three of the township’s fire companies (the Marlboro Fire Department, Morganville Fire Department, and the Robertsville Volunteer Fire Company) responded to the scene.
There were no students or school personnel in the building at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported, according to police.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Marlboro Township Fire Bureau.
The Freehold Township Regional School District’s Building & Grounds Department was not immediately available for further information on whether there was any damage to the school from the incident or any repairs needed.
