Sophie Pulos of Marlboro Dies at 89

Sophie Pulos, 89, of Marlboro Township, died Thursday, Oct. 11 at Care One at Holmdel, Holmdel Township. Mrs. Pulos was born in Plains, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1942. She was a bookkeeper for the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Freehold where she was employed for 30 years before her retirement.

Her husband, George Pulos, died in 1961. A son, Richard Pulos, died in 1963. She was also predeceased by eight siblings. Surviving are a sister, Josephine Sideroff; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services were held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
