Update: Photo of Dog Thrown Out of Car on Parkway in Monmouth County

The SPCA has authorized the release of the photo of the dog in hopes of finding more information about the car or owner who threw her out.

Red Bank Veterinary Hospital has released a photo of a dog that was thrown from a car on the Parkway on Saturday afternoon.

Karin Kandur, spokeswoman from the animal hospital, said that the female dog appeared to be a “young adult”. She was reported earlier to be a mixed-terrior and had suffered ”severe injuries” when thrown on to the express southbound lanes of the Parkway near exit 116 and was rescued by a good Samaritan, who called state police.

The SPCA of Monmouth County is considered the guardian of the dog at this time, as chief law enforcement officer for the county SPCA Buddy Amato investigates the incident. The SPCA is appealing to the public for anyone who may have witnessed the event.
