Veteran's Widow & Pup attacked @ Reservoir Loop Thompson Park Lincroft
Veteran’s widow and pup attacked at Reservoir Loop at Thompson Park in Lincroft Saturday morning. Our family is asking for help identifying the owner of the dog that attacked and injured my sister's dog while walking at the Reservoir loop section of the park (where dogs are to be on leash). The very large husky, while OFF leash, mauled her pup while he was on leash, all the time she was screaming and yelling for help to no avail. The owner of the husky came out of the woods grabbed his dog and took off offering no assistance either for my sister or her badly injured dog. The owner looked to be heavy set in his fifties with salt and pepper hair while running away. The emergency vet did a great job sewing her pup up and getting him home where he is resting with plenty of stitches. We have contacted the Monmouth County Parks Police and the Holmdel Police are investigating. We are asking if anyone may have been at that part of the park Saturday a little after 9 am and may have seen this dog and owner? Please use my contact information and reach out to me if you can help. Jim C. 732-503-2582. Thank you.
