Welcome Back to School in Colts Neck
In a letter to parents, Conover Road Primary School Principal Tricia Barr reminisced on the sparkle of summer, and the excitement of a new school year.
Superintendent Dr. Fred Oberkehr sent a welcome back letter to parents and students this week, as school quickly approaches.
In the letter, Oberkehr welcome two new administrative additions to the district. Mrs. Mary Jane Garibay is the new Director of Curriculum and Dr. Richard Beck is the new Director of Special Services.

"Many of us might remember how we carefully chose that 'perfect' new pair of sneakers or outfit to wear on the first day. For me, I can distinctly recall the nervous anticipation I had about meeting my new teacher and wondering if I would know any other child in the room," Barr wrote.
The Parent Portal will be open on Aug. 23, and on it parents can:
- View your child’s new classroom/teacher assignment
- Review bus assignments
- Find out bus stop and pick-up/drop-off times
- Confirm emergency contact information
- Access report cards from prior school years
