Aberdeen Summer Concert Series Has 3 Shows In July
Bruce Springsteen tribute Asbury Fever plays July 12; July 19 is local band Madison Avenue and Lynyrd Skynyrd band Southern Steel July 26.
ABERDEEN, NJ — The Aberdeen Township Recreation Department’s Summer Concert Series will kick off on July 12, the first of three shows to be held this July.
The first concert will feature the rock sounds of Bruce Springsteen tribute band, Asbury Fever.
Residents of all ages invited to enjoy some music, food and fun at the Tuesday evening shows, which are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Cliffwood Beach.

Everyone is asked to bring their own blankets, chairs, coolers and bug spray. There is no charge to attend.
The second band to perform, on July 19, will be Madison Avenue, a well-known local group, returning for its third time to Aberdeen. The popular Southern Steel follows on July 26 and features retired members of the Keyport police department. Southern Steel is making its fourth appearance in Aberdeen and will have the audience rocking out to tunes from Lynyrd Skynyrd and other top groups.

“This program continues to be a favorite for our residents looking for a fun and free night out with friends or family,” said Brittany Shea, Assistant Recreation Director for Aberdeen Township. “We are thrilled to bring back another summer of musical performances by the bay at Veterans Memorial Park.”
Four additional concerts will be held in August.
