Aberdeen Township Police Blotter: Drug Possession, Mischief, and Fraud

Here are the Aberdeen Police briefs from August 6 through August 12.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 6, 2014 through August 12, 2014.

• Turri J. Smith, 24, of Colts Neck, was charged with possession of marijuana, hindering his own apprehension, and tampering with evidence following a motor vehicle stop on Lloyd Rd. on August 7. He was also charged with several motor vehicle violations. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.

• P.O. Jeffrey Griffith arrested a 53-year-old Marlboro man for shoplifting and trespassing at the Stop and Shop store, Hwy. 34, on August 10.

• P.O. Craig Hausmann arrested a 60-year-old township woman for shoplifting at the Stop and Shop store, Hwy. 34, on August 10.

• A 31-year-old Sherwood Dr. woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident on North Concourse on August 12. Sgt. Michael Lasko was the arresting officer.

• P.O. Anthony Valentino responded to a landlord-tenant dispute on Van Cleaf Lane on August 6.

• On August 6 a resident of Nutmeg Rd. reported that during the early morning hours some individuals got out of a car, threw garbage, and urinated on his property. P.O. John Zeller took the report.

• P.O. Anthony Valentino responded to a landlord-tenant dispute on Van Cleaf Lane on August 6.

• On August 7 a Dogwood Court resident reported someone threw eggs at her house and vehicle sometime during the night. P.O. Gus Grivas responded.

• An airbag, Ipod, GPS device, and three cell phone chargers were taken from a 2009 Honda Civic parked at Chelsea Village, Cross Rd. Entry was gained by breaking a window. The incident was reported to P.O. Gus Grivas on August 7.

• On August 7 a Gaston St. resident reported the fraudulent use of his wife’s debit card. P.O. Anthony Marone responded.

• On August 8 it was reported that three car batteries were stolen from the CITGO station, Hwy. 34, sometime between August 1 and August 4. P.O. John Zeller took the report.

• P.O. John Zeller responded to an assault at the Meineke Car Center, Hwy. 34, on August 8.

• On August 8 an Inglewood Ln. resident reported the fraudulent use of her credit card. P.O. Gus Grivas responded.

• On August 9 a Sherwood Drive resident reported someone entered her home and took prescription medication. P.O. Anthony Valentino investigated.

• P.O. Vito Turchiano responded to a trespassing complaint at a towing yard on County Rd. on August 10.

• On August 11 P.O. Roger Peter responded to a report of harassment at the WaWa, Hwy. 35.

• On August 11 someone entered a 2001 Toyota Corolla while it was parked at the Blue Rock Café, Amboy Ave., and took electronics, jewelry, medication, and other personal items. Special Officer Ronald Osadacz investigated.

Officers responded to or initiated 357 calls for service between August 6 and August12, 2014, including 17 suspicious persons/vehicles; 21 alarms; 29 first aid calls; nine motor vehicle crashes; four disorderly persons, two domestic violence incidents, five thefts, one noise complaint, three criminal mischief incidents, two burglaries, one welfare check, and 145 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 111 motor vehicle summonses.
