Aberdeen Woman Hit By Car In Hit-And-Run Dies Of Injuries

An Aberdeen mother of two, 58, who was hit by a car Sept. 4 at Atlantic Avenue/2nd Street, has now died of her injuries.

ABERDEEN, NJ — An Aberdeen woman who was hit by a car on Sept. 4 has now died of her injuries.

The woman is Judith Fox-Hernandez, 58, an Aberdeen Township resident, said a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor.

She was hit by a car at approximately 7:24 p.m. Sept. 4, a Wednesday, at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 2nd street. It was a hit and run, said police. Aberdeen Police were called there for a 911 call of a pedestrian struck and upon arrival, officers discovered the female pedestrian lying in the roadway.

Fox-Hernandez was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and she died there of her injuries this past Sunday, September 29. She was a wife and a mother to two children; she was buried Thursday, according to her obituary.

There are no arrests made in the fatal hit and run, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor continues to ask the public to come forward if they know anything, or witnessed anything.
