Cliffwood Beach Woman, 78, Dies

Arlene passed away peacefully on May 31, 2012, while vacationing with her family in her favorite location, Avon, North Carolina.

She was born Arlene Marie Hand on February 18, 1934 in
Newark, New Jersey. Arlene was the heart and soul of her family and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of both Keyport and St. Clement's Seniors.

She was predeceased by two husbands, James Wallace and Harry Kern, her parents, Dorothy Fairchild Erickson and Harold Hand and her sister, Dolores Hand Armstrong. Arlene is survived by her loving children, Arlene Davis and her husband Steve of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, Beverly Toribio and her husband Dennis of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Carol Bennett and her husband Larry of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and James Wallace and his wife Chris of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Scott Davis and his wife Erica of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, Christy Davis of Keansburg, New Jersey, Nikki Huggan and her husband Jason of East Bangor, Pennsylvania, James Wallace, Bryan Wallace, Emily Wallace of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania, Jessica Toribio of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, her adored great grandchildren, Ryan Davis of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, Gavin Huggan of East Bangor, Pennsylvania, along with her dear siblings, Joyce Leto and her husband Charles of Ocala, Florida, Mary Venezia and her husband William of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, Robert Hand and his wife Barbara of Appommatox, Virginia, and Frank Erickson and his wife Fran of Union, New Jersey. Arlene will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

In respect of Arlene's wishes, she was privately cremated.
