Eric Stehn, 61, of Aberdeen Dies

Eric “Rick” H. Stehn, 61, of Aberdeen, NJ, formerly of Weehawken, NJ, entered into rest on Saturday, April 7, 2012.

He was the beloved husband of 36 loving years to his wife, Carol H. Stehn (nee Harris); A cherished father to his son, Thomas E. Stehn and his daughter, Linda C. Stehn; An adored son to his mother, June Stehn and his late father, Wilbert Stehn; A loving brother to his sister, Judith Collier and her husband Paul; A dear brother-in-law to John Harris and his wife Debbie and Mary Garreau; Also survived by his loving nephew and nieces, John R. Harris and his wife Kathy, Allison Griffith and her husband Rob, and Eileen Renowden and her husband Mike.

Rick was born in Jersey City, NJ. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and honorably discharged in December, 1974. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Montclair State College and pursued a career in sales. He had a passion for coaching and was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Matawan / Aberdeen Babe Ruth League, and coach for the Huskies Indoor Soccer League.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ on Thursday, April 12th from 4PM to 7PM.
