Matawan Fire Department Welcomes New Firefighters

Four new firefighters were approved as members of the Matawan Borough Fire Department at the borough council meeting Tuesday night.

Chief Carl Bommer was at the meeting and thanked the council for approving the following members:

• Jesse Hedlund, of Matawan, will join Washington Engine Company
• Gary Foti, of Cliffwood, will join Washington Engine Company
• Daniele Discarlo, of Aberdeen, will join Washington Engine Company
• Jessica Schorn, of Laurence Harbor, will join M.E. Haley Hook & Ladder
