
John Knox, 81, of Aberdeen passed away on June 26, 2012, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in New York he resided in Brooklyn and Matawan before moving to Aberdeen in 2002. John worked as a Securities Trader for 40 years at Lehman Brothers, Home Insurance Co., and Prudential Bache in New York before retiring in 1990. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Matawan, serving as a deacon and member of the Jack Jenkins Singers. He also served on the Matawan Recreation Committee and was secretary of the Marc Woods Bowling League in Matawan. He loved his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was predeceased by his sisters Christina Cartwright and Margaret Klein.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years Donna Knox of Aberdeen, son Thomas Knox and wife Donna of Matawan, 2 daughters - Sandra Bianco of Tewksbury and Neeltie Arnott and husband Bob of Canada; and six grandchildren, John, Kevin, Charles, Christian, Alex, and Danielle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28 from 7-9 PM. and Friday, June 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Hwy 79, Morganville. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in First Baptist Church of Matawan, 232 Main St, Matawan with entombment to follow in Holmdel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to First Baptist Church of Matawan. Online condolences may be sent to the family via www.waittfh.com
