Obituary: Nancy Hackmann, 83, of Matawan

Nancy Hackmann, 83, of Matawan, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 2, 2012 in Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. She was born on July 10, 1929 in Glasgow Scotland. In May of 1950 Nancy left Scotland and traveled to the United States, settling with her uncle in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Rahway where she lived for 11 years before moving to Matawan which she has spent the last 50 years. Before Nancy's retirement she worked for Hazlet Medical Association. She was a member of the Eastern Star and active with the Minnisink Village Seniors.

She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Susan Hackmann of Matawan, 2 daughters and a son-in-law Barbara Hoffman and Philip Dodge of Pittstown, NJ and Linda Quigley of Parsippany, NJ, a sister and brother-in-law Marie and Pat Fullerton of Glasgow Scotland, her ex-husband Dick Hackmann of Hazlet, NJ, 5 grandchildren, Erika and Alyssa Hackmann, Matthew, Steven and Elizabeth Quigley, 3 step grandchildren, Sean, Jamie and Alex Dodge, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 6, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. A funeral ceremony will take place during the evening visitation at 8:30pm Thursday and she will be privately cremated.
