
Nancy Palumbo, 78, of Matawan, passed away Friday July 6th, 2012 at home. Born in Italy, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Matawan 43 years ago. Nancy was a wonderful cook. She worked as chef at Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home in Matawan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone.
Nancy is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Palumbo; her parents, Gaetano and Theresa Lubrano Lobianco Buono; a brother, Michael Buono, and a sister, Maria Tommanaro. She is survived by her children, Mary Olivadoti and her husband Antonio of Long Branch, Michael Palumbo of Matawan, Theresa Hartigan and her husband Charles of Aberdeen, Gaetano Palumbo and his wife Maryann of Laurence Harbor, and Frank and his wife Eileen of Matawan; siblings, Lucy Palumbo of CT; Carmella Ruggi of Italy, and Antonio Buono of Italy; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and one on the way.
Family and friends are invited Monday, July 9, 2012, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Tuesday, 10AM at the funeral home, with an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clements RC Church, Matawan.
