Obituary: Sarah Masella, 85, of Matawan

Sarah Masella, 85, of Matawan, passed away on June 18, 2012. Born in Hoboken to the late Nathan and Molly Hallerman, she married the late Alphonse Masella in 1978 and they lived together for 26 years in Hackensack. She was a loyal friend to her family and friends, especially those at Cheesequake Village in Matawan, where she has spent the last seven years.

Sarah was a devoted mother to her son and his wife, David and Melissa Hallerman; a caring sister to Miriam Hallerman and the late Lillian and Maxie Hallerman; and an adoring grandmother to Harrison Nathan and Harper Josephine, who will miss her very much.

Visitation today from 5 to 9 PM at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Susan G.
