Obituary: Wilma Leone, 87, of Keyport

Wilma Leone, 87, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2012 at Laurel Bay Health and Rehabilitation Center in Keansburg, New Jersey. Wilma was born on November 20, 1924 in Keyport, New Jersey, where she grew up.

Wilma was a homemaker and worked for the Keyport School District as well as the Keyport Police Department. She was a volunteer at Bayshore Community Hospital for 20 years and in 2002 was named Bayshore Community Hospital's Volunteer of the Year. Wilma was also awarded the Monmouth Park Charity Fund Volunteer of the Year.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George L."Buck" Leone in 2002, her parents, William and Phoebe Sammis Neidinger, her dear brother and sister, James Neidinger and Edna Walling. Wilma is survived by her loving children, Barbara Leone of Wall, New Jersey, Edna M. Quinn and her husband William of Keyport, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Kelly Savicky and her husband Andrew of Keyport, New Jersey, David Quinn and his wife Michele of Keyport, New Jersey, and her adored great grandchildren, Emily Savicky, Morgan Savicky, and Madison Quinn. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, September 7, 2012, 10:00 to 10:45 AM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning at 10 :45 AM. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Hazlet, New Jersey. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry, P.O. Box 35, Keyport, New Jersey 07735 in her memory would be appreciated. Please specify for food donation.
