Olga M. Steinhauser, 84, peacefully entered her final resting place on Sunday January 30, 2012 at Laurel Bay Rehab and Nursing Home surrounded by family. Olga, affectionately known as Ollie, was born and raised in Newark, NJ to Francis and Mikulas Steinhauser. She later moved to Springfield, NJ until 2005 when she decided to move to Aberdeen, NJ to be close to her brother Paul. Ollie had many hobbies, but her favorite was ballroom dancing that she enjoyed during her early years. She enjoyed telling enchanting anecdotes of living amongst "The Greatest Generation" during WWII that included USO dances, trips to NYC and anxiously awaiting letters from both her brothers who served in WWII. Ollie also had a chance encounter with JFK in a hotel lobby in the 1950's. Ollie started working at Prudential Insurance at the early age of 16, beginning an illustrious career that would span over 5 decades. She loved to travel and her work took her many places. Her favorite vacations included island beaches. She had an opportunity to visit pre-Castro Cuba. Although Ollie suffered many years with debilitating Rheumatoid arthritis, no one was aware of it because she never complained. She was a great listener that would gently offer her insights and empathy. Her family was truly blessed to be graced with her presence and she will be greatly missed. Ollie attented St. Clement Church in Matawan, NJ.
Ollie was predeceased by her parents Francis and Mikulas Steinhauser, a brother and sister-in-law Paul and Jeanette Steinhauser, a brother Nicholas and a nephew Michael Steinhauser.
