Local Teens Clean Up Raritan Bay Waterfront Park In South Amboy [PHOTOS]
It was one of 80 beach clean-ups held across the state Oct. 18. The county will next host a trail clean-up Nov. 15. Volunteers needed.
SOUTH AMBOY, NJ — Local Middlesex County teens, their parents and civic groups got their hands dirty Saturday, when they participated in a group clean-up of Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in South Amboy.
Volunteers spread out across the bayfront park to remove trash.
More than 80 beach clean-ups — called "beach sweeps" — took place across the state Saturday, part of a yearly event organized by Clean Ocean Action, an ocean advocacy group on the Jersey Shore.

Members of the Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps participated, as did Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, a Democrat who lives in Woodbridge.
