Matawan Police: Cash and Cigarettes Stolen from Liquor Store

Police responded to an alarm at Wine Nation on Wednesday

The responded to an alarm at on Wednesday at 2:12 a.m., where they found the glass door of the business shattered, according to Sgt. Thomas Falco.

Officers discovered that about $1,000 cash and several cartons of cigarettes were taken from the Route 34 liquor store, Falco said.

Ptl. Jeffrey Bodner and Ptl. Jonathan Borsari were the initial responding officers. Sgt. Patrick Walker along with officers from the and the Holmdel Township Police K-9 Unit responded and assisted in searching for the suspect or suspects.
