Matawan Republican Council Candidates Hold Town Hall Sept. 30

MATAWAN, NJ — The two Republicans running for Matawan town council this fall will hold a town hall meeting with their fellow Republican running to represent this area in Congress.

The Republican candidates for Matawan borough council are Suzanne Reynolds and current Councilman Charlie Ross, running to keep his seat.

The town hall will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at Washington Engine Co. Hall, 176 Jackson Street in Matawan. All are welcome to attend and ask them questions. Matawan native Scott Fegler, running for Congress in NJ 6, and Monmouth County Commissioner Sue Kiley, also seeking re-election in November, will be there with Reynolds and Ross.

"Residents of Matawan and surrounding CD6 towns are invited to join them for a free Town Hall event," say organizers. "This will be a great opportunity for residents hear from the candidates and share what issues are important to them. This is a very important election; Suzanne and Charlie encourage residents to come out on the 20!"

Two Democrats and two Republicans are running for two seats on the Matawan borough Council this November. Voters will be asked to choose two:

  • Suzanne Reynolds (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization
  • Charles Ross (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - currently Councilman, seeks re-election
  • John Christopher (D) Monmouth County Democrats
  • Megan L. Taraszkiewicz (D) Monmouth County Democrats

The election is the same day as the presidential, Nov. 5.
