Matawan's 2012 Recycling Calendar

The law in Matawan dictates that recycling items are not to be put out until 4 p.m. the day before pickup, and recycling should not be put out on garbage day.

The borough may also check garbage at times for recycling. If recycling is found, the garbage will be left at the curb until the violation is corrected, according to the borough website. Continued failure to separate garbage and recycling may result in a $50 fine.
