SAYREVILLE, NJ — A former Sayreville Middle School student-teacher is accused of having multiple photos of a child from the school, who was undressed in the photos, alleges Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
The student-teacher is Eduardo Duran-Carrasco, 34, pictured above, a Hunterdon County resident.
The child has since graduated Sayreville Middle School and is now an adult, said a spokeswoman for the county prosecutor.

In addition to student teaching, Duran-Carrasco also volunteered with the middle school band. That's where he encountered the student.
The investigation began after someone anonymously submitted an online tip about Duran-Carrasco to the NJ State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

Last Friday, April 12, Sayreville Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's team executed a search warrant at his home in Alexandria Township. They seized hard drives and other computer equipment, which police say contained child pornography. It was during that search that police also found multiple photos of the Sayreville middle-schooler. The child was undressed in the photos.
The child was identified and interviewed by police. They told detectives they met Duran-Carrasco when they were a middle-school student, where Duran-Carrasco was a student-teacher and a consultant for the school band.
Duran-Carrasco was arrested Friday at his home without incident. The Hunterdon County Prosecutor charged him with second-degree child endangerment for being in possession of child sex abuse material (for the alleged child porn possession on his home computer).
Additional charges are pending in Middlesex County for second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Duran-Carrasco is currently being held at the Warren County Correctional Center. The criminal charges against him were first announced in this press release from Hunterdon County Prosecutor Rene Robeson.
