South Amboy Woman Charged with DWI in Matawan

Police say she hit a curb while turning near intersection of Main Street and Washington

A South Amboy woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test, according to Matawan Lt. Ben Smith.

Police say that Patrolman Paul Ryba stopped a 2000 Dodge Durango Tuesday at about 9:45 p.m. after he observed the vehicle strike a curb on Main Street near the intersection of Washington Street.

The driver, identified as Danielle Aceta, 33, was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was also wanted on two separate contempt of court warrants out of New Brunswick and Fort Lee. Ryba made the arrest.

The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Raymond Rybak, 32, of Sayreville, was arrested by Officer George Leeuw for a contempt of court warrant out of Manalapan.
