Union Beach Man Arrested for Allegedly Shoplifting from ShopRite
Police say he stole over $500 worth of merchandise between two incidents
A Union Beach man was arrested Sunday for allegedly shoplifting over $500 worth of merchandise from during two separate incidents.
Police say that Henry Dellapietro, 47, entered the store on March 22 and took over $400 in merchandise and left.
On March 25 at about 10:50 a.m., he allegedly returned to the store and took $196 worth of merchandise. Police say the store loss prevention officer recognized Dellapietro from the March 22 incident and pursued him outside of the store.

Aberdeen P.O. Matthew Lloyd responded to the scene and located Dellapietro behind the grocery store, where he placed him under arrest. Lloyd was assisted by P.O. Gus Grivas.
Further investigation revealed a contempt warrant issued out of Monmouth County Superior Court in the amount of $20,000, according to Chief of Police John Powers.

Dellapietro was issued complaint summonses for the shoplifting offenses and turned over to the custody of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office in default of bail.
