Water Main Repairs To Start In Aberdeen
Repairs to remedy "persistent water main breaks" in the Strathmore area will be coming soon to Aberdeen, officials said.
ABERDEEN, NJ - Repairs to remedy “persistent water main breaks” in the Strathmore area will be coming soon to Aberdeen, officials said.
Work will begin in the area of Lloyd Road and Idlewild on April 24 through 25, the township said in a Facebook post. The work will be conducted at night to avoid conflicts with the two schools and traffic in the area.
“Since January, we have been in constant contact with NJAMW [New Jersey American Water] to implore them to begin the work before our scheduled road paving operations begin in the area, as we have previously passed an ordinance placing a 5-year moratorium on ripping up a road after we have paved it,” the township said in a Thursday night statement.

“We look forward to you receiving your new water mains, increased water pressure and newly paved streets with a 5-year moratorium on road work, as soon as possible,” the township added.
