2 Cars Stolen From Mendham Twp. Driveway, Others Burglarized: Cops

High-end vehicles recovered in Newark within one week of being stolen, police report.

MENDHAM TWP., N.J. – Two luxury vehicles were stolen from a Mendham Township driveway late last week, while a couple more were rummaged through, Lt. Ross Johnson said.

The vehicles were taken from a home on Hilltop Circle in the overnight hours of Thursday, March 17 into Friday, March 18, Johnson said. On the same night two more cars in the Brookside area were rummaged through with a few items stolen, Johnson said.

Just a few days later, however, police in Newark were investigating a suspicious person incident which lead to an arrest and the discovery of one of the vehicles, Johnson said. The second vehicle was then located Wednesday night by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office.
