MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Somebody who bought a lottery ticket in Morris County recently secured a nice prize.

A ticket sold in Chester Borough matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball in the Dec. 7 Powerball drawing, winning a prize of $50,000, according to lottery officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Krauser’s store on 95 West Main Street.

Meanwhile, a lucky player in New York won the $256 million Powerball jackpot in the latest multi-state drawing. The winner’s prize is valued at $256 million, with the cash option before taxes estimated at $123.5 million.

The winning numbers for the drawing were: 01, 31, 43, 55, and 57. The Power Ball number was 22. The Power Play was 2X.

The Powerball jackpot resets to $20 million for the next drawing, scheduled for Monday at 10:59 p.m.
