Baby Raccoons Rescued From Library Storm Drain In Mendham
Two of the three babies are already back in the wild.

MENDHAM, NJ — It was a happy ending for a group of baby raccoons, who were rescued from a storm drain in Mendham Borough.
The three raccoons were found in the storm drain at the Mendham Borough Library Wednesday morning. The Mendham Borough DPW and Randolph Animal Control helped to free the babies. Two ran back into the wild, and the third will be taken to the veterinarian for medical attention.
If you see a baby raccoon in the wild, it's typically best to leave it alone; odds are, the mom is away but will be returning. If you're sure the raccoon is abandoned, it its gotten trapped like the library raccoons, call your local animal control for help.
