Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Morris County Identified
Authorities say the manner of death was accidental in the Friday morning incident.
Authorities have identified the man who was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in Rockaway Township on Friday, Oct. 23.
Around 6 a.m. Friday, police responded to the area of 2 Green Pond Road near Route 80 in Rockaway Township for a report of a man who was struck by a vehicle, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said.
The victim was identified as Jose Antonio Aguilar, 48, of Dover. He was taken to St. Clare’s Dover Campus where he succumbed to his injuries, Knapp said.

The Morris County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be multiple injuries and the manner of death to be accidental.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no criminal charges at this time.
