Chester Family Fun Night Set For April 19

Event is completely free and no Chester students will have homework, recreation department says.

CHESTER, N.J. – Get out and enjoy your family and community.

That’s the goal of the Chester Municipal Alliance’s Community Family Night, set for Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Chester Library.

The event is sponsored by the Chester Borough and Chester Township police departments, Chester Recreation, Library, and Municipal Alliance.

“The goal of the program is to carve out one evening in our busy lives to foster creative family interaction and to have a good time,” the recreation department said.

The event will feature carnival entertainment like juggling, magic, illusions, face painting, a dunk tank, popcorn, refreshments and more, all for free.

In addition to the festivities, the Chester School District has decided to not give homework that night so kids can enjoy the fun.
