Chester Named Among Best Towns in U.S. For Trick-or-Treating

Quaint and festive: Two adjectives that fit perfectly into Chester’s bucolic setting.

According to thedailymeal.com, Chester is also a great place for trick-or-treating. In the website’s annual rankings of top 25 towns in the country to go trick-or-treating, Chester landed in the number three spot and was the only New Jersey town to make the list.

The website cited Alstede Farm’s month-long festivities as a major sticking point, but other organizations, like the Historic Chester Business Association also puts on great events.

This year, on Oct. 31, at 1 and 2:30 p.m., spooky story telling will be held at Cooper Gristmill in addition to activities like making corn husk dolls, creating creepy crafts, and playing old time games.
