This Chester Toy Shop Was Named One Of The Best In NJ

CHESTER, NJ — With the Christmas season quickly approaching, people may be looking for the perfect stocking stuffers and gifts to give during the upcoming holidays.

There's no shortage of unique finds and fantastic presents at locally-owned shops right here in our community. And, according to a recent ranking, there is no better toy shop in Morris County than right here in Chester.

The website Best of NJ put together a list of the best independent toy stores in New Jersey, and Chester's Serendipity Toys & Books ranked as one of the top North Jersey spots.

Serendipity Toys & Books offers something for everyone inside their jam-packed storefront on Chester's charming Main Street. The children's store is designed to look like an enchanted forest that features toys, books, and gifts for a broad age range.

First opening in 2020, the toy store is known for its large selection of crafts, games, puzzles, STEM kits, Calico Critters, trucks, Pokémon, slime and JellyCat. Since its grand opening two years ago, Serendipity Toys & Books has already moved locations to accommodate a larger storefront, bringing more toy variety to Chester.

The Historic Chester Business Association, an association with more than 48 years of dedication to Chester's local businesses, wants to encourage shoppers to consider Chester for their holiday shopping.

Serendipity Toys & Books is open Sunday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
